Make-up Work
Attendance to all classes is very important. Even though you receive the handouts or material we covered the day you were gone, you will have missed out on the discussions the class had that day. It is YOUR responsibility to come see me about the work you missed and to make up that work before the next class period; I will not come hunt you down! All missed handouts and work will be placed in the corresponding folder on the “Make-up Work” board. As the handbook states, you have two calendar days for every day you are absent to make up the work.
Late Work
Late work will not be accepted! All assignments need to be handed into the tray at the start of class, not several minutes after class has started or after it has already been asked for and collected. Even if you are not completely done with an assignment, still hand in what you have done in order to receive partial credit rather than 0%.
Cell Phones
Cell phones should be placed in the holder at the front of the room at the start of class. Each day you place your cell phone within the holder you will earn extra credit points towards your Tests category. If you do not have a cell phone, you must place something of value within the holder and you must come speak with me within the next few days to discuss this. If you choose not to put your phone up and are caught in class on your cell phone, your phone will be confiscated until the reminder of the day and you will lose any points accumulated thus far for that quarter.
The only other extra credit given is in the form of unused bathroom/hall passes which are added to the homework category.
Job Expectations
All job expectations and guidelines are explained in the forms you, your parents, and your employer will be signing and returning; all forms will also be on the website. Paystubs need to be brought in after you receive each paycheck as proof of hours worked (a minimum of 30 per two weeks is needed). If hours are not met during each paycheck, points will be deducted accordingly. If there is a legitimate reason for the lack of hours, it is your responsibility to inform me of the reasoning as you turn in your paystub. Employer evaluations will be handed out quarterly.

Website
Off of my webpage, there is a page dedicated to this class (follow the “Coop” link at the top). Informational handouts for all major assignments and projects will be posted on the website, along with the rubrics the assignments or projects will be graded with. Study guides for tests and any forms needed for the class will also be located on the website.
Other . . .
Book bags, including drawstring bags, are not allowed in class and must remain in your lockers. If a purse is brought to class, it needs to remain on the floor as there is not much room on the tables between computers. Those who are consistently in their purses will have them placed in a designated location. You may listen to music while working on assignments/projects but SHOULD NOT spend all of your time finding the perfect song to listen to. If you are continually seen messing around for songs on music sites, those sites will be blocked from your computer and you will lose your privilege to listen to music while you work.
